This MASTERCLASS is for students who are serious about expanding upon and teaching the content of the newly-released book, Emotionally Healthy Discipleship (EHD).
Through in-depth lectures and practical case studies, Pete Scazzero will bring to life the pages of the book, allowing deeper transformation in your life and leadership.
Each session is 75 minutes and will feature a lecture by Pete Scazzero, 1-2 case studies provided by students in advance, and a final Q & A.
A person who practices “being” before “doing” operates from a place of emotional and spiritual fullness, deeply aware of themselves and others. As a result, their being with God is sufficient to sustain their doing for God. In this session, will explore the importance of slowing down to be with Jesus.
To Americanize Jesus is to follow him because he makes my life better and more enjoyable. This influence drives us to be popular, be great, be successful, and avoid suffering and failure. In this session, we’ll distinguish the difference between American culture and our discipleship to Jesus.
The church must develop both a theological and practical understanding of limits. Without limits, we severely compromise our ability to love God, ourselves, and others. Healthy limits are especially critical for those who lead in the new family of Jesus. In this session, we’ll explore the challenges and possibilities of leading with limits.
For leaders, it is difficult to distinguish between loving people for who they are versus using them for how they can contribute to the mission. We need a deeper theology for moving from “I-It” relationships to “I-Thou” relationships. In this session, we’ll explore how loving well is the defining characteristic of mature Christians.
Hint: it's not another webinar
This MASTERCLASS is for leaders committed to building a biblical and historical framework, to apply and teach EHD in their ministry context, and to lead other leaders in the same exploration. For this reason, the class size will be limited to 40 students.
