Emotionally Healthy Discipleship
Masterclass
with Pete Scazzero
A 4-week class, expanding on the robust theology of Emotionally Healthy Discipleship.
Beginning Thursday, May 13th

Are you ready
to go beyond the book?

This MASTERCLASS is for students who are serious about expanding upon and teaching the content of the newly-released book, Emotionally Healthy Discipleship (EHD).

Through in-depth lectures and practical case studies, Pete Scazzero will bring to life the pages of the book, allowing deeper transformation in your life and leadership.

In this 4-week class, students will discover:

  • The behind-the-scenes experiences that led to the shaping of the book.
  • Why these particular 7 marks of EHD are the lifeblood of transforming culture.
  • The unpublished 150 pages of new content that never made the book.
  • Real life case studies that integrate biblical principles into practice.

4 Classes, 40 Students, $400

Each session is 75 minutes and will feature a lecture by Pete Scazzero, 1-2 case studies provided by students in advance, and a final Q & A.

Thursday, May 13th | 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. ET

Class One:

Be before you do (Chapter 3)

A person who practices “being” before “doing” operates from a place of emotional and spiritual fullness, deeply aware of themselves and others. As a result, their being with God is sufficient to sustain their doing for God. In this session, will explore the importance of slowing down to be with Jesus.

Thursday, May 20th | 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. ET

Class Two:

Follow the Crucified, not the Americanized, Jesus (chapter 4)

To Americanize Jesus is to follow him because he makes my life better and more enjoyable. This influence drives us to be popular, be great, be successful, and avoid suffering and failure. In this session, we’ll distinguish the difference between American culture and our discipleship to Jesus.

Thursday, May 27th | 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. ET

Class Three:

Receive God’s Gift of Limits (chapter 5)

The church must develop both a theological and practical understanding of limits. Without limits, we severely compromise our ability to love God, ourselves, and others. Healthy limits are especially critical for those who lead in the new family of Jesus. In this session, we’ll explore the challenges and possibilities of leading with limits.

Thursday, June 3rd | 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. ET

Class Four:

Make Love the Measure of Spiritual Maturity (chapter 7)

For leaders, it is difficult to distinguish between loving people for who they are versus using them for how they can contribute to the mission. We need a deeper theology for moving from “I-It” relationships to “I-Thou” relationships. In this session, we’ll explore how loving well is the defining characteristic of mature Christians.
