God met us in a profound way at our Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Pastor’s Conference this past April 10-12.

Coming from as far as South Africa, England, and Eastern Europe, we offered for the first time a pre-conference on Emotionally Healthy Skills. Geri and I have been working for the past years on 13 core skills needed to create a new healthy culture for churches committed to in-depth transformation. This went extremely well. From experiences in silence and solitude in a contemplative prayer room to listening to staff integrating emotional healthy spirituality into youth ministry, worship teams, celebration services, small groups, elder boards and leadership development, these three days offered the most comprehensive picture of what is involved in bringing emotionally healthy spirituality to a local church.

The following are a few of the comments from participants:

“Bless you in your transparency...It gives me hope as I see how God is working in and changing your team!”

“This has renewed my hope and vision for what a church can be and what it would mean for leaders to have lives and marriages with real integrity!”

“Having the NLF staff available was a great idea.”

“The practical exercises around the material were wonderful. They put feet on what I had read in the books.”

“The interactive and personal reflection times were crucial. Just a wonderful time. I don’t think you have to change a thing.”

“The courage, the honesty, the vulnerability of Geri and Pete was amazing.”

“This has been a life-transforming experience!”
